AGIThe Lasercomb Group has been a key supplier to the AGI Group for many years.  They consistently deliver quality press ready die tools, whilst offering a prompt and reliable service.

A large percentage of our packaging demands a high quality multi-level embossing, therefore we have worked closely with the Lasercomb Group to perfect this technique.  This embossing has resulted in AGI securing a number of awards for our printed packaging.  We currently purchase both single pass die-cut emboss and dedicated two pass tooling from them.

Of vital importance to our business, due to the lead-time constraints that we operate within, is that we receive a high level of customer service, technical advice and support.  The Lasercomb Group have continually fulfilled this criteria.

ChesapeakeChesapeake Leicester has been a customer of Lasercomb for over 25 years and has enjoyed an exceptional level of service during that time.  Like all customers we have continually tested the market but have always found Lasercomb to be a cut above in terms of consistent quality and ability to respond to quick turnarounds.  Lasercomb is a company who have leading edge innovation backed by investment and the work done by them in the Braille arena has significantly helped Chesapeake Leicester to enhance its reputations in this increasingly important area.

We would not like to recommend Lasercomb to any of our competitors as they are that good and we look forward to many more years of excellent service.

AlexirThree years ago Alexir Packaging had various suppliers of tooling for our two Bobst Autoplatens and Heidelberg Platen.  The die makers were supplying basic tooling for run of the mill cartonboard packaging on standard materials.

Our business mix has changed to more bespoke materials and more complex profiles incorporating: - scores, reverse scores, reverse creasing, embossing, debossing, Braille etc.

Alexir needed a supplier at the forefront of tooling manufacture to assist in machine efficiency improvements and with the experience and willingness to work with us on more complex profiles, layouts and using difficult materials.

After extensive research with various tooling manufacturers Alexir chose Lasercomb as our preferred supplier of tooling based on: value for money, technical services, flexibility, delivery service and “right first time”.

Lasercomb’s technical service is a good mix of practical experience and willingness and drive to make the impossible happen.

A team of well trained staff with considerable industry know and including an ex Bobst Cut Crease machine demonstrator with over 25years machine experience helps us to go in the right direction first time on difficult profiles/substrates/laydowns and ensures Lasercomb has real credibility with on machine challenges as they understand the operator’s day to day problems.

Alexir prefer to work with ‘Partners’ rather than a basic customer/supplier relationship.  Lasercomb understand this and Alexir have benefited from the relationship by being able to develop products which have helped to enhance Alexir Packaging’s a reputation for innovation and development.

PrintpakThe Printing and Packaging Company has been a customer of Lasercomb Dies for several years during which time we have received a very professional service.  We are very pleased with the quality and diverse portfolio of products that they consistently deliver.  The levels of customer service and technical support give my business the peace of mind that our tooling orders are in good hands.

MeadWestvaco Packaging SystemsMeadWestvaco Packaging Systems has been supported by Lasercomb Dies since Mead Corporation commenced production in the UK in 1989.  During this time, Lasercomb has been the sole UK service provider for all tooling and pre-make ready requirements.  We were fortunate for Lasercomb support during the installation of the Bobst Sprintera in 2002, which I believe was the first in England.  Very quickly we were able to achieve speeds of 12,000 using Lasercomb press ready tooling.  The complexity of some of our packs, and the nature of our raw material, means we are able to work together on process improvement and productivity gains which is part of on-going continuous improvements.
